Training and nutrition advice
Do you want to lose 6 pounds every week? Do you want to lose 4 inches of belly fat off your waist too? You do?! The magazine "First for Women" says you can. Too bad that's a bold faced LIE.
Unfortunately, garbage like this gets pushed on society ALL.THE.TIME. I notice shit like this in grocery store checkout lines quite often. Crazy amounts of weight can supposedly be lost.
The March 6, 2017 issue from "First for Women" says right on the cover "Reboot Your Thyroid to Melt Off 4 Inches of Belly Fat Every Week!". This is insane.
Magazines print nonsense like this to sell their product, and to sell what's inside the magazine. They're preying upon those who struggle with weight loss, and it's not fair. This kind of crap NEEDS TO STOP!
Now, there actually is some really good info found in this article. A healthy thyroid IS very important to your health and fat loss. However, nobody can continually melt off 4 inches of belly fat every week. In the article, there's a highlight saying you can lose 6 pounds every week. Again, not possible.
Yes, in the initial phases of weight loss, especially for those who are VERY overweight, you can expect to see a rather large amount of weight to be lost. That will slow down very fast. The more fat you have, the easier it is to lose weight. The less fat you fat, the more difficult it is to lose weight. The most fat you can expect to lose per week, in a healthy manner, is 1-2 pounds.
Check out this video that covers a lot of the article; it's good points, and it's bad points:
